The Olymp-i-a Challenge is hosting a unique Lights On Afterschool event as part of the Afterschool Alliance celebration. The event will take place online and runs October 14–20. All afterschool programs and supporters of afterschool programs and activities are invited to participate at any time throughout the week.
The Olymp-i-a Challenge engages youth in daily awareness and journaling for peace, green-living, and health. Participation is easy and will gather positive ideas and actions from youth engaged in afterschool programs all over the U.S. and even around the globe. Join the celebration to show the power of youth and afterschool programs to initiate change through writing and connecting online. The Olymp-i-a Challenge is also a great way to support the 2013 National Day on Writing (October 20–21) and Connected Educator Month.
