What do game-based learning strategies look like when applied to literacy teaching and learning? We at Institute of Play are teaming up with the National Center for Literacy Education to find out.
On December 10, we invite you and your colleagues to join us in a webinar to explore the power of games and game design in literacy education. By participating, you will learn the basics of game design and modification, and experience these principles in practice.
We know that we are better when we do things together, so we will also discuss how game design can open up new possibilities for collaboration for teachers and students alike. Take your collaborative planning to the next level by taking on the challenge of designing games for literacy learning.
This session provides an introduction to the newly-released Collaboration through Design Gamekit Challenge Pack, which offers a series of design challenges to help you apply the principles of game design to your professional collaboration experiences.
