With so many possibilities for creating and capturing students’ digital compositions, how can we invite them to document all their learning? How can they design an effective website? Prepare an aesthetically pleasing presentation? Mix media to compose digital video?
As part of the Summer of Making and Connecting, Educator Innovator sponsored a collaborative conversation featuring the author of Crafting Digital Writing: Composing Texts Across Genres and Media and Director of the Chippewa River Writing Project, Troy Hicks. Troy talked with colleagues from other National Writing Project sites and discussed the role of craft in supporting the teaching of digital writing:
