By Educator Innovator

In this hangout, participants from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the National Writing Project discussed the importance of learning about under-reported challenges, both nationally and across the globe, and understanding multiple perspectives and opinions on these issues. Participants talked about strategies for making cross-cultural and cross-regional connections in the classroom, as well as Pulitzer’s Lesson Builder, a digital tool and a supporting community of educators, that makes creating and sharing lesson plans around Pulitzer Center reporting easy. This hangout was part of a special series on News, Literacy and the Digital Age produced in connection to Letters to the Next President 2.0. It was also co-streamed at connectedlearning.tv.
