Aurora Public Schools in Aurora, CO is engaged in a partnership with the University of Colorado at Boulder, funded through Google’s Computer Science for High Schools and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Middle and high school students are creating video games a part of a program called Scalable Game Design (SGD). Teachers and students are finding a lot to write about in their game design work. In this webinar, part of the National Writing Project’s partnership with the Hour of Code, we’ll hear teachers reflections about having students code video games and also how writing supports student learning in Scalable Game Design.
